We are already in the second month of 2018 already! Wow, where did January go? Hopefully your year-end close activities ended the year in the black and everything reconciled down to the penny.
February's meeting will be a dandy! We are holding our annual Student Night with our special 4:30 session featuring yours truly and a who's who of the Dayton Chapter participating in a roundtable Q&A with the students. A handful of chapter members have volunteered to take part in this session. If you would like to take part, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and be sure to be at the Engineer's Club by 4:15.
At 5:30, we are very excited to announce that IMA's Chair-Elect, Ginger White, will be presenting. Ginger has been involved with IMA for nearly 20 years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with us about her career and the future of the IMA. We are very fortunate to have such a big player in this organization in our backyard.
Last but certainly not least, Amanda Malusky Krauss from Axium Consulting will be presenting Fraud Awareness & Forensic Accounting Investigations. You may remember her when she spoke to our group a few years ago. This evergreen topic is always of interest to our group and we think it rounds out the evening's topics well so students can see what the diverse careers in accounting are really like.
I hope you have a great week and I am looking forward to seeing you all next Tuesday!
